I enjoy reading and researching a wide range of authors and comparing and contrasting different styles of Literature. I strive to get my students as passionate about reading as I am. I have worked with students with very different reading capabilities and strengths. I believe I can reach and teach students that have a difficult time with reading and I can make them more effective and efficient readers. I cherish the time I have with my students and I utilize our interaction to get a strong understanding of how my students learn. This allows me to build a lesson plan that fits their individualized needs and helps my tutoring be on point. Although I enjoy tutoring students in Reading the most, I also tutor Elementary Math, Writing, Grammar and Mechanics, and English. In addition, I do test preparation for the SSAT, SHSAT, and TACHS. I am a graduate of Long Island University and Fordham University, and have been teaching for many years. I love to read, cook, dance, and travel.
