Experience
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Binghamton State University. Shortly after receiving my bachelor's degrees, I enrolled in a graduate program at St. John's University and earned a Master of Arts in the same area. At the moment, I am working towards a PhD in Spanish from the University of Buffalo, and in my spare time, I'm teaching Spanish to undergraduate students with the hopes of inspiring them to have the same love for languages that I gained over the years. I love working as an educator because I find it to be incredibly rewarding to watch my students overcome their challenges and reach their goals, especially when I'm able to help them by sharing my own knowledge and experiences. As an educator, I believe that we always need to be learning and changing our teaching approaches. For this reason, I hope a number of pedagogical workshops, where teachers come together and share different ideas and teaching styles in the hopes of learning new ways to reach their student. In addition to working on my doctorate, I am also about to start a job as a Spanish teacher at a private high school in New York City.
