Senior, history and political science major at John jay college that minored in literature. I have a 3.4 overall GPA, a 3.8 in political science and 3.5 in history.
Experience
I have previously tutored at Francis Lewis high school (as a volunteer while I attended the school) to my peers. Additionally when I have babysat, I have often helped children with their homework. In Ecuador, I was an assistant teacher where I helped teach students English as a second language. Furthermore, I was a counselor for two summers at World of discovery where I interacted with children aged 4-8. Lastly, at the flushing library I helped students study for the SATs as well as the ACTs. I am currently awaiting to receive my education certificate, as I am an aspiring teacher. I am a motivated and enthusiastic educator. In my full time job at bloomingdales, as well as at my previous jobs (Gap Inc and Target) I have been in supervisor roles, therefore I am confident I can manage a team or individual in a timely manner.

Hobbies
I am very passionate about the subjects I majored in and I love working with people. Having grown up in a public school at the heart of New York, I understand the necessity for an educator to be passionate about their work. Having struggled with my own few classes in high school taught me the value of having a peer that can edit your work as well as teach you comprehensively. On multiple occasions I have tutored my god daughter for her fourth grade class and I can truly see a difference in her academic achievements. As an aspiring teacher, this is truly rewarding, not just for her but for myself as well.
