I attended Hunter College for my bachelor's degree in English and for my master's degree in education. Currently I am a teacher, but I also have tutoring experience and want to get back into it. Tutoring is very fulfilling because I can help students directly improve by focusing on their needs and learning style individually. Students I've tutored have been very successful, with one in particular achieving the high score in the school on a social studies assessment exam. On average, my students have improved test scores by 30% after about 20 hours of tutoring. I'm comfortable working with students of any age, but I excel with elementary school students. I can tutor English, elementary school math, middle school math, essay writing, essay editing, phonics, history, government, comparative literature, and others. I can also help students prepare for admissions exams like the ISEE, or other standardized tests. In my free time, I like to roller skate, read, and bake.
