I received a full scholarship to attend The New York Institute of Technology, where I earned my degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Thermodynamics and Flight Vehicle Design. I've had the opportunity to tutor students for several years in physics and math. I was also a peer tutor at college, where I taught other students thermodynamics in an individual setting. One of my greatest projects was designing a solar bicycle, that harvested energy while braking. In my opinion, students just need the correct tools, and the patience of someone to help guide them through the processes, and solving difficult math problems becomes a matter of solving a number of smaller, easier steps, until suddenly, the whole thing is solved. When I work with my tutoring students, I make sure to work step by step, without moving on to another step until the student has a clear understanding of the previous step, and is able to demonstrate this understanding. I also take the time to adjust my tutoring methods to reflect each student's particular learning style. When I'm not teaching or tutoring, I like making projects on my 3D printer, watching movies, or playing soccer.
