Education
I am currently a sophomore at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY). I am pursuing my Bachelor's in International Criminal Justice, a certificate in Dispute Resolution, and a minor in Writing. My combination of degrees are not usually pursued by many. International criminal justice is a major that I hold great interest in. Whether it's human rights, drug trafficking, counter-terrorism, transnational crime--they all excite me. After completing my degree, I expect to help combat crime on a global scale. Dispute Resolution is teaches students how to remain calm and effectively handle conflict. I think this is a very valuable tool to have because in reality, there will always be conflict whether it is big or small. To learn how to prevent it from escalating is necessary. Writing has always been something I have loved to do. I am learning how to professionally write and how to strengthen my arguments on paper.
Experience
I have experience teaching middle school, high school, and college students in English. My focuses are mainly on writing in regards to grammar, punctuation, structure/organization. techniques, and argumentation strategies. I am currently training to be a tutor on campus and I have taken a class on argument writing.

Hobbies
In my free time, I like to read, cook, go outside and enjoy nature, and go shopping. I like to read books on effective communication, non-fiction stories of what happened to people, and just reading up on current news. It's boring eating the same thing over and over again. The regulars should definitely be changed up. I can't cook any Middle Eastern food since I'm from there, but I take great interest in cooking Italian, Chinese, Greek, and American foods. Not many people actually take time out of their days to go and relax with nature. My favorite place is Central Park, and it is convenient because I attend college in the area. Honestly, I'm a girl who loves clothes, purses, and shoes. How often have you heard that? Very often I bet. I love staying updated with the latest fashion but I also love experiments with different styles.
