Experience
I got my start as a tutor while attending Utah State University, where I majored in German and minored in Latin, linguistics, and music performance. While studying, I would tutor other students in all levels of Latin and German. Having the opportunity to help other students has brought me great joy over the years and is something that I am happy to pursue now that I have completed my degree. One of the greatest things about teaching others new languages is how much they can discover. From my own personal studying, I have found that there are often situations where no literal translation is available. As a result, I am able to learn more about a foreign culture, and I try to teach these values to my students. In addition to Latin and German, I also love teaching piano, as I am an accomplished classical pianist. I have also worked as a teaching assistant in music theory and keyboard harmony. In the future, I want to earn a PhD in linguistics, and I have already started learning about computer science, should I want to pursue it as a career.When I'm not tutoring, I like traveling, listening to electronic music, cooking, learning about new languages and cultures, and studying literature.
