Education
I graduated from Communication University of China, which is the most prestigious college in China known for cultivating media talents. The four-year undergraduate study majoring in advertising honed my language skill to a great extent. I got my Master of Business Administration degree in Hofstra University, the largest private university on Long Island, New York. My English has since greatly improved. The grow-up process familiarized me with all the key factors and difficulties for foreign language learners, helping me better understand my students’ demand and teach them more effectively.
Experience
I began tutoring Mandarin Chinese when I was in my undergraduate school nine years ago. My students by and large were international students learning journalism or advertising in China. I taught them advanced Mandarin Chinese one-on-one during weekends. After coming to the States, I was referred as a Mandarin tutor to some families by my friends. Most of them live on Long Island with more than one child learning Chinese. Given the children’s different language levels and ages, I normally teach them one by one for one hour a session. Beside private tutor, I’m also serving as a teacher in the Chinese school of my church, the Harvest Church of New York. The class size is slightly bigger and the class duration is also longer. I am a native Beijinger. I was born in a Manchu family, growing up in the Hutongs. I love the city and its culture, as well as into my blood. I’d love to promote it, especially in a foreign country, and one of the best way is to teach people Mandarin, which is mostly based on the Beijing dialect. After all, language is the carrier of culture. Without mastering a language, you can’t truly grasp the culture behind it.

Hobbies
I’m an active person. Sports like basketball, baseball, and kayaking are all my favorite. I’m also interested in painting and designing, which I’ve learned for over eight years. I’m proud of my strong sense of responsibility, which can be testified by all my friends and colleagues. I always try my best to secure the job quality.
