• Tutoring experience with 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in the following subjects: -Social Studies -ELA -Math (6th, 7th only) • I enjoy tutoring because it is my passion to help students become confident and lifelong learners. It is important that students have the guidance and thinking skills to navigate their own education in order to be successful. It is my goal to help students feel successful and prepared in whatever subject they are having difficulty in. • I have been a teacher for 3 years, and continuously attend professional developments and work with a literacy coach at my school. Furthermore, I have had training in International Baccalaureate curriculum and I am a team leader for my colleagues in this area. These experiences have taught me about how to get students involved in their learning, rather than memorizing and simply listening. This includes exploration, inquiry and critical thinking. • I have worked with a wide range of students from honors, special education, English language learners and emotionally disturbed. This has strengthened my knowledge of how to reach all students through differentiation, creating engaging lessons and resources to help students.

Hobbies
Although education is my main passion, my other hobbies include fitness and running. My husband owns a gym which I am at on a daily basis. Exercise and health are very important to me. Furthermore, I enjoy cooking, spending time with my family and helping others. I would characterize myself as caring, determined and hard working. It is important to constantly improve and work on being better in any aspect of my life.
