Currently I am pursuing a sociology degree from Smith College, where my concentration is women's education. I have several years of tutoring experience, and my specialties are essays, writing, literature, English, and test preparation for the SAT writing and SAT reading sections. I love writing and reading, and I enjoy helping students develop a love of these subjects as well. I utilize a student centered approach where I collaborate with my student to help them achieve success. I believe in relating concepts to things student knows, because this helps them better understand concepts and keeps them interested. I enjoy helping students learn, but I also enjoy learning them. In addition to my specialties, I can also help students develop study skills, organizational skills, Spanish language skills, and more. When I have free time, I like to read, play the bass, and explore new areas.
